Mahmoud Moammar, MD

Dr. Moammar has been practicing Pulmonary Medicine for more than 12 years. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a Pulmonary Fellowship at Seton Hall University/ School of Health and Medical Sciences.

Dr. Moammar practiced as a board-certified Interventional Pulmonologist in Lexington, Kentucky where he was the Medical Director of the ICU and Pulmonary Services at Saint Joseph East Hospital for the past 10 years.

His expertise includes conventional bronchoscopy with biopsies and tumor debulking, APC, EBUS, Electromagnetic Navigation (SD), tracheobronchial stent placement, GoalDirected ICU ultrasonography, chest tube insertion, Thoracocentesis, line insertion, Pleurex catheter insertion, percutaneous tracheostomy, Endobronchial Zephyr Valve and Bronchial Thermoplasty.

He also has special interest in Lung Cancer, PAH, ILD and COPD management especially Emphysema.
