Faraz Afridi, MD
Dr. Faraz Afridi is a distinguished pulmonary and critical care medicine physician at Pacific Pulmonary Medical Group. He holds quintuple board certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, and Neurocritical Care from the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is further board certified in Critical Care Echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography.
Dr. Afridi received his medical degree from the University of London, United Kingdom. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Central Florida, serving as chief resident at the Orlando VA Medical Center. He subsequently pursued a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Florida, where he also served as chief fellow in quality and patient safety.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Afridi serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, Riverside, where he is actively involved in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. His commitment to patient care and medical education has been recognized through several awards, including the Compassion Champion Award from Riverside Community Hospital and the Teacher of the Year: Inpatient Education Award from the Riverside Community Hospital/University of California, Riverside School of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Afridi is a Fellow of both the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP). He is also a member of the American Thoracic Society (ATS) and the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM).
